We make it available subject to the following terms and conditions (the “Terms of Use”). By accessing and using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use, so please read them carefully. And please read our privacy policy, also, for an explanation of how we protect and use information provided by visitors to the site.

All of the information and other content at this website is compiled and presented by MCTF. You may download or copy material from this website for your own personal use, but you may not modify it, redistribute it, or use it for any commercial purpose without our prior written permission.

On this website you will find links to other sites on the Internet, maintained by third parties. We have provided those links in order to make available to you a broad range of additional information on various topics. We have compiled those links from a variety of sources we believe to be useful and reputable. Those other sites are not maintained by MCTF, however, and we cannot guarantee their accuracy or reliability. Once you leave mctf.org by clicking on a link to another site, MCTF is no longer responsible for the content you are viewing.

MCTF strongly advises you to consult an appropriate professional, such as a pediatrician, teacher, counselor, etc., regarding any particular concerns you might have.

We follow a standard set of editorial procedures in selecting the information that we put on mctf.org. However, we cannot offer any guarantee related to that information. We specifically disclaim any warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, correctness, timeliness or usefulness of any information or services provided through this site. Mctf.org makes every effort to be neutral with regard to gender, race, color and origin. In some cases, articles on the site will use masculine or feminine personal pronouns for the sake of convenience, but the information provided is relevant for both males and females unless otherwise specified.

Privacy Policy

MCTF is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of its online visitors. We do not collect personally identifiable information about individuals—such as their names and postal and/or email addresses—except when it is knowingly provided by such individuals, and we do not disclose any such information to third parties except when required by law.

Questions or comments?

Please email CTF General Information. We will attempt to reply as soon as possible. Please email MCTF by clicking here if you wish to provide comments or ask questions; unsubscribe to MCTF publications, request a copy of your personal information and make updates, or to notify MCTF that your identifiable personal information should not be shared ourside the organization. Note: CTF does not share this information.

MCTF uses the information that visitors provide through the “CTF General Information” link for internal informational purposes only. If you email MCTF, your message and email address will be forwarded to the appropriate department within MCTF. We may choose to save this information. MCTF is pleased to hear from you and will make every effort to respond to your comments and inquiries in a timely manner. Questions or comments sent by email or posted on our columns or discussion groups may be made publicly viewable, but we will not post personally identifiable information. MCTF may occasionally post surveys on the site or through email, and your participation in these surveys is voluntary and unless we inform you to the contrary on a completely anonymous basis. We use the information collected through these surveys to understand our visitors better and to determine how best to serve them. Personally identifiable information collected in our surveys is never sold, rented, shared with third parties or otherwise disclosed except when required by law.

Subscription to newsletters, publications or press releases

If you subscribe to a newsletter, publication or press release published by MCTF and distributed via email, we will keep your email address in a private distribution list. Messages sent electronically do not reveal recipients' email addresses or any other personal information. MCTF will only send messages to individuals who have opted to subscribe and who have provided their email address to us directly. We do not use this email address list for any other purpose, and we only add individuals at their request. At any time, you may opt out by using the unsubscribe link provided in the publication email or below, which will remove your information from the distribution list for that publication.

• To notify MCTF that your identifiable personal information should not be shared outside the organization. (Note: MCTF does not share this information.)

Cookies: This site automatically collects some non-personally identifiable information about you when you request pages through your browser. We may place cookies on visitors' computers to collect aggregate information for site traffic analysis, such as the number of visitors and the number of pages viewed. (Cookies are small files that reside in a visitor's browser.) The aggregate information we collect through cookies helps MCTF monitor how you and other visitors use the site, allowing us to provide an optimal experience and better service; this information is never used to identify you personally.

Donations and Fundraising Events

When you donate to MCTF or register for a fund raising event, we ask you to voluntarily provide your name, address, telephone number, email address and credit card number so we can process your donation or event registration, send you a receipt or confirmation and communicate with you if necessary. If you'd like, you can provide that information another way (by phone or regular mail).

When you make a gift on our site, your information goes into a database maintained by Friends of Children’s Trust Fund, the philanthropic resource for Children’s Trust Fund of Massachusetts. The Friends may then send you email or mailings about other opportunities to support the MCTF.

Third-Party Service Providers

MCTF may engage reputable third-party vendors to help us manage our web sites and allow us to better service our patients and visitors. MCTF never shares with third parties any personally identifiable information you provide when requesting information or making a donation online, except as required by law.

Links to other sites

This site has links to other sites we think may be of interest to our visitors. Their purpose is to provide visitors with convenient access to other sites that might interest them. A link to another site does not imply an endorsement of the site's content or services.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites not owned by MCTF and Friends of Children’s Trust Fund. We encourage you to be aware of that when you leave our site and to read privacy statements at any sites that collect personally identifiable data.

E-mail communication

MCTF does not collect your email address unless you voluntarily submit it to us or choose to communicate with us via email. We do not sell or rent any email addresses. We try to respond to email messages requiring a response within five business days. If you email MCTF, your message and email address will be forwarded to the appropriate department or program within MCTF.

How we use the information

MCTF uses the information you provide to fulfill your online request, facilitate customer service and inform you of our programs and events.

We do not rent or sell visitors' personal information to third parties, such as marketers.

We inform the companies that help the MCTF with donations made by credit card that they may not share or use personally identifiable information for any other purpose.

We do not share any third-party or personally identifiable information you provide with gifts in honor or memory of a loved one.

We do not share any personally identifiable information we may collect in surveys, although we may share aggregated survey results with analysts, as described above. The aggregate data cannot be used to identify individuals and participation in the survey is voluntary.

It is possible that we could be forced to disclose personally identifiable user information in response to a search warrant, subpoena, or court order; that can happen to any organization keeping records. Disclosures may also be appropriate to protect our legal rights and the security or integrity of our Web site, or to avoid liability. Those kinds of disclosures are highly unlikely, but possible.

No personal information is stored on the web site. Forms or other information collection devices on the site simply collect details that are then forwarded to MCTF. This information does not reside on the web site.

Security

MCTF website does not store identifiable data on its server. All billing information is sent to a third party vendor who uses Secuire Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect credit card and other information you may submit via our web site. All other information is kept off-line and is stored and accessible only by CTF staff.

Policy Changes

MCTF may revise the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy at any time. We encourage you to visit this page periodically to review our current policy so that you will always know what information we gather and how we may use that information.

Deletion and Removal of Information

Non-identifiable information in our aggregate database will not be deleted. Like all responsible website site publishers, we maintain backup files as a protection against natural disasters, equipment failures, or other disruptions. Backup files protect you and us because they lower the risk of losing valuable data. Removing a record from our main files does not remove that record from any backup systems. It may take up to six months before all information in a backup record is completely erased through the normal recycling of backup files. In the meantime, as long as backup records exist, they receive the same privacy and security protections as our other records.
