Shaking a baby causes brain damage and even death—this is known as Shaken Baby Syndrome. Babies Cry: Have a Plan helps parents cope with a crying baby. When parents have the information and skills offered in this curriculum, they learn how to take care of themselves and their babies, even when crying won’t stop.
Together with physicians and child trauma experts from Boston’s leading teaching hospitals, the Children’s Trust Fund developed Babies Cry: Have a Plan, a program that provides skills and tools to family support professionals who work with families to prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS).
