Gala 2004 10/30/04
More than 300 Boston area business executives and philanthropists attended the 14th Annual Gala, held Oct. 30, at the Westin Copley Place. Mike Nikitas, news anchor for New England Cable News, served as master of ceremonies and auctioneer for exclusive items such as a Judging Amy package including a trip to Los Angeles for a walk-on appearance on the CBS drama. CTF honored Larry Rasky, chairman and CEO of Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications, for his continued support of the organization. Congressman Edward J. Markey presented the award to Mr. Rasky. CTF Executive Director Suzin Bartley said, Larrys personal commitment and his public reach have been an integral part of Childrens Trust Funds success in supporting proven programs, raising public awareness on critical child safety issues, and advocating for increased state and federal funding. We are extremely grateful to Larry and his firm for their invaluable contributions to our mission and our success. The Gala also included a silent auction, dinner, and dancing to live music from Soul Ambition. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Massachusetts Childrens Trust Fund's child abuse prevention programs. |
