Each year the planning committee for A View from All Sides recognizes two professionals for their excellence in the parenting education field.

Marybeth Trapeni, winner of the Emerging Leadership Award, teaches movement classes to children with developmental disabilities and has educated parents of children with disabilities on stress management, relaxation and movement therapy. She also facilitates the CTF-funded Mommy and Me parenting group at the East Middlesex ARC in Reading.

Susan Klaw, recipient of the Leadership Award, is Founder and Director of the Family School at the James Otis Elementary School in East Boston. This program provides family support programs and English for Speakers of Other Language (ESOL) classes for low-income, immigrant families.
