Parenting education and support groups
CTF was created to help moms and dads be the best
parents they can as they work at the hardest job in the world - raising kids.
CTF leads efforts in Massachusetts to ensure that all parents of young children have access to community-based
family support resources and the information about child development that they need. As a large
part of these efforts, we fund over 100 family support and parenting education programs
These programs can help parents learn how to reduce family stress, develop
stronger parenting skills, understand age-appropriate child development, learn appropriate behavior
management techniques, find ways to use community resources, and develop peer supports to break the
isolation many families experience today.
Along with funding support programs for parents throughout the state, CTF also publishes a number of
tips and other printed resources, such as our Fatherhood Kit and our Ten Ways to Keep Children Safer.
